Removing Your Wisdom Teeth as a Preemptive Measure
“Do I need to have my wisdom teeth removed?” This is a fairly common question because of how often people hear about someone they know having to take time off of work to undergo the procedure.
In many cases, people choose to have their wisdom teeth removed as a preemptive measure. In some cases, the molars next to the wisdom teeth are in danger of becoming impacted as the wisdom teeth start to come in.
In other cases, the jaw arches may simply be too small to accommodate the wisdom teeth. Preemptively removing the teeth can prevent the patient from experiencing a significant amount of discomfort.
