Your consultation
Your Empress® restoration consultation will involve an examination of your target areas. An oral evaluation will be done by Dr. John Cho to determine which options are best for you. Dr. Cho may also require X-ray imaging to determine the health of your teeth.
A discussion of your goals and expected outcome will take place so that you and Dr. Cho can be on the same page when it comes to your dental restoration.
What restorations can be done using Empress® products?
Empress® has created many natural-looking restorations, including:
Empress® Veneers – These veneers are wafer-thin porcelain and ceramic covers which fit permanently over natural teeth. Empress® veneers are perfect for covering disfigured and stained teeth. They are stain and bacteria-resistant, strong, and can be manufactured to match the natural tooth shade.
Empress® Crowns – These crowns are generally placed after root canal therapy or after the removal of tooth decay. Empress® crowns are proven to last longer than many types of crowns, and again, can be matched exactly to the natural tooth shade. There is no visible, ugly metal edge, just a sensational end result.
Empress® Inlays/Onlays – Inlays and onlays are currently being used to replace the traditional amalgam fillings. Amalgam is unpleasant to view and unhealthy for the body. Empress® ceramic inlays and overlays are strong, healthy, and usually invisible to onlookers.
Empress® Bridges – As with all Empress® products, Empress® bridges are a completely natural-looking way to replace missing teeth. Metal bridges are often highly visible and make the teeth look shorter. Empress® bridges are almost impossible to spot and restore symmetry and sparkle to the smile.
What is getting Empress® restorations like?
Your dental restoration procedure may take more than one appointment. Dr. Cho will assist you every step of the way. For dental cosmetic restorations, the first appointment is for taking impressions and preparing the target areas. The second appointment is for permanently setting the crown, veneers, or bridges.
Aftercare
There is no recovery or downtime required. To care for your dental restorations, you will be given instructions. You might be scheduled for a check-up appointment following your treatment.
Cost and Payment Options
The cost of Empress® restorations will depend on the type of procedure you underwent. The price will include the number of missing or damaged teeth being treated, additional treatments, and other fees.
Our cosmetic dentistry office works with most insurance plans and will be glad to submit a claim to your insurance company. We also accept all major credit cards, cash, personal checks, and ATM cards. Financing options are also available through CareCredit and Lending Club Patient Financing.
